په خپل نام و ننګ چې راشم لېٶنے شم 

I am crazy when my honour & ethnicity is insulted

خبردار کله په سود آٶ زؽان ته لک ؽم 

Beware that I don't care  for profit & loss

چې په طمع  د اوړو ځخلي و شت ته 

 Greed for the wheat crumbs in a hook doesn't entice me 

ګومان مه کړه چې هغه نادان سمک ؽم  

Don't take me for a stupid fish that is attracted to it 

هيڅ له قدره مې وګړي خبر نه دي 

Ordinary people don't know my true worth

که ريښتؽا واؽم د سترګو مردمک ؽم 

But If I tell the truth I become pupils of their eyes

لکه باز په لوئے لوئے ښکار زما نظر دے

Big prey far away is on my target like an eagle

نه چې ګرځي ګونګټ نيسې بادخورک ؽم 

Unlike ordinary birds in the air who catch only wasps 

چې نيٶلې مې دا هوډ د نام و ننګ دے

As I have taken up the assignment of protecting the honor

که له خپله هوډه واړم کنيزک ؽم 

If I back out from what I intend to do then put shame on me

د افغان په ننګ مې وتړله توره 

Have raised  sword for the honour of Pashtuns/Afghans

ننګيالے  د زمانې خوشحال خټک ؽم

Am the most honoured Khushal Khattak of this era
